About

The foundation of CQC is based on nearly three decades of experience, and the insights used to develop the process and tools reflect thousands of hours I've spent reviewing and developing content.

CQC Was Not Built in a Rush to Respond to AI
The concept of content review focused on brand protection began to form in the mid-2000s, while I was working long-term, on-site editing assignments at the headquarters for some of the nation's leading marketing and advertising firms: Fallon Worldwide, Campbell Mithun, Carmichael Lynch, Olson, Periscope, Life Time, Yamamoto Moss and Hanley Wood Marketing, to name a few. At this time, I was working with co-founder and friend, Gail Helland, under the name Helland Hoven Editing Services.

In 2016, I purchased the URL ContentQualityControl.com and later ContentQualityControl.org with the intention of building a site and brand in the future. Then, when ChatGPT rolled out late 2022, I began aligning my many notes, research and brainstorms to fit this new reality. Finally, in 2025, I launched ContentQualityControl.org and today I offer editorial and brand protection services to organizations throughout the U.S.
